You attract more flies with honey than vinegar. Likewise, you attract more success with wholesome speech than by being crass.

Your child’s future success is influenced by how they present themselves. Part of that presentation is how they speak.

How Your Child’s Speech Can Affect Their Future Potential

Have you noticed a link between the heart and the tongue? By training our kids to speak politely and mannerly, we can actually affect their hearts as well. Though our society becomes more course with each passing day, there is—and always will be— a respect and demand for those whose hearts are pure and whose speech is gracious.

By teaching our kids the Eph: 4:29 dictum to speak with wholesome talk, we’re not only giving them a leg-up on healthy relationships but future business opportunities too. In short, our kids’ speech can often—in a myriad of ways—be a predictor of their success in life. Proverbs 22: 11 says, “He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.”
