I have a challenge for today’s parents.
In today’s culture, is it wise to allow your teen to be alone in a car with a teen of the opposite sex?
Why it’s Unwise to Leave Your Teen Alone in a Car with Teen of Opposite Sex
In an age where hooking-up is a simple smartphone message away, I cannot see how allowing a teen boy and girl alone in the same car together is a good idea. Believe me, I am the furthest thing from a legalist, but this was not even a good idea when I was a boy.
The culture promotes that this is to be expected from teenage behavior. Sadly, many of today’s parents accept and promote this.
Because kids are now having sex by appointment, cars can virtually be a hotel room on wheels.
I believe if we allow our kids to be put in these situations, we could be exasperating them.
As I see it, allowing our kids to be put in compromising situations like this is akin to exasperating them and earning us a dip in the sea with a millstone necklace.
