One unpopular belief today is that we should protect our children from the Internet. Why should this be unpopular?
Here is one step you can take to proactively protect your child from the Internet.
Protect Your Child from the Internet
Being a good parent these days will mean you won’t always be popular—not with neighbors, teachers, your kids’ friends, the parents of your kids’ friends, and sometimes, not even with your own kids and extended family. This is especially true when you are—in their eyes, at least—considered an invasive snoop. Like when you check Junior’s internet, Facebook, text messages or email history.
But, I’m also talking about checking his room, his drawers, under the bed, his closet, and even inside the heat registers. If he has a car, and you have a hunch, check that too. The wise parent takes precautions and acts on his or her intuition. It’s not invasive; it’s just good parenting.
