As a parent, if you think your teen is smoking pot, it can be hard to know what to do with that information. Do you confront teens right away? Do you wait to confirm your suspicions and take the risk that they will continue this behavior?

How to React If You Suspect Your Teen is Smoking Pot [One Minute Feature]

Well, when your children reach the teenage years, it never hurts to make sure they already know the potential consequences of engaging this this type of behavior. Then if suspicions arise, you can ask questions and drop hints to remind them that you disapprove of this activity.

How to Influence Your Kids While Accepting They Have Minds of Their Own

What do you do if you suspect your teenager is smoking pot? This will all depend on exactly what kind of evidence you have for your suspicions. You can never go wrong when you put things in the form of a question. For example,

  1. “Junior, if you ever become tempted to smoke pot, do you trust me enough to come to me first?”
  2. or

  3. “Junior, what do you think Christ’s position is on smoking pot?”

Regardless of his answers, you would do well to let him know that should he ever decide to pursue this foolish and sinful endeavor and be caught, you will be contacting every one of his friends’ parents to alert them of the risk they are putting their teens in by allowing them to hang out with your teen.
