Teaching Children Natural Consequences

Do you want your boys to grow up to be responsible men? Then stop pampering them. Allow them to go through the natural consequences of their mistakes. See that they experience the rigors of honest work; especially chores around the house.

Nobody ultimately feels good about themselves when everything is done for them or when they are always being bailed out.

I can’t tell you the number of kids I encounter who resent their parents for all they do to make their lives easier. If Junior is doing all he can o fulfill life’s responsibilities, then blessings are in order. But if he shows interest in nothing but his own comfort, pampering makes us complicit in his dereliction and his own demise.
