“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to the ways of the world. How are we doing with that?
Do Not Be Conformed
Since Romans 12:2 says that we should not conform to the ways of this world, we would do well to sit down with our kids and make a list of the ways we have already conformed. Until we do this we may be oblivious to all the ways our culture has influenced us more than the church, the Bible, or the Holy Spirit.
Have we conformed in our work, or entertainment habits, our speech, our dress, how we treat our neighbor or deal with our finances? We must sit down and actually do an inventory of the ways we have been conformed by this world compared to the ways we have been transformed by the renewing of our minds. Then we might find answers for why we have yet to find God’s good and perfect will for our lives.
