How can we, as Christian parents, justify giving unlimited smartphone access? Is it a moral issue that needs to be considered?
Smartphones in the Role of Christian Parenting
When I talk about keeping smartphones out of the hands of minors without proper oversight and accountability, I’m not just talking about it from the perspective of making our jobs easier as parents. I’m coming from many perspectives-social, physical, psychological, and spiritual-health perspectives-which are all ultimately theological and moral.
We can’t claim to understand Christian principles for adequately protecting and nurturing our kids, and then give them unencumbered access to everything the world has to provoke them to anger, exasperate them, and cause them to stumble. For Christian parents to do so, I see it as a crippling spiritual delusion.
