“America is a country of redemption. None of us should be defined by the worst we once were.”
Bob Woodson
In our culture today, if we do not tell our children the truth about America, then someone else will give a version that you may not want. Are you being truthful when they ask you what is going on?
Our American Truth
What are you telling your kids about America? Are you defining America and judging her by the division we’re seeing today and the worst of what we once were? Or are you defining America and judging her by the heart of what she’s always been? Our kids need to know the whole truth. Certainly, we’ve made mistakes – big ones. What nation hasn’t?
The fact that America recognizes her mistakes and works to make them right should tell all of us something very profound about this country. It’s why folks from other countries flood our borders. Bob Woodson, a black man, by the way, said, “America is a country of redemption. None of us should be defined by the worst we once were.”
