A college scholarship, a successful future, their dream job? What dreams do you have for your child?
Do our dreams for our kids depend on a high IQ, or something that is more important than even an SAT score?
IQs and SATs
Many young parents today think that if they can just raise their kids’ IQ by exposing them to Baby Einstein at a young age Maybe Juniors GPA will get himself into a prestigious college someday and he’ll grow up to be successful and happy—especially if mom and dad taught him to be friendly and open to new ideas.
But, after a 20-year study, researchers have now come to conclude what the Bible has pretty much alluded to from the beginning. The greatest determining factor in bringing success and happiness to your child when he becomes an adult is not his intelligence, IQ, grades, friendliness or even being open to new ideas. Success and happiness come from learning self-control as a child.
