It’s easy to fall into sin today and everyone struggles.

How should we respond to our teens’ struggles?
Empathy
Our kids live in a day of unmatched temptation especially if they’re allowed to have unencumbered access to smartphones. Yet even with a flip phone they’re still gonna have access to provocative images all around them. Pornography is ubiquitous.
Netflix, HBO, and so many other venues have so lowered the bar that previous generations of parents would have freaked out had their kids been exposed to such things. But freaking out is exactly what you don’t want to do should you find your kid viewing porn. Instead, empathize with them for the world they have to live in and the temptations they have to live with, though consequences may be in order. If so, do it with an heir of grace and humility. Let them know you’re on their team.
