Everyone wants to see their child happy. But at what cost?

Do you tend to want to make your kids happy more than God? Do not give in to peer pressure in your gift-giving.
Happiness Over Spiritual Health
When considering buying gifts for our kids on birthdays or for holidays, George Barna rightly observed a big problem. He noticed that many of the entertainment products popular in today’s culture are in direct conflict with the moral precepts of the Christian faith.
Putting Your Child’s Happiness First
Speaking largely of anything music or movie related, we have to make a choice as to what is more important. Is it pleasing our kid’s tastes and sensibilities or satisfying God’s standards as defined in Scripture?
When we choose to make our kids happy over God’s will, we’re often left with a pit in our stomach. This is often an indicator that we are just as subject to peer pressure as our kids. If we don’t want our kids succumbing to peer pressure then we shouldn’t either.
