When it comes to our kids, salvation is an urgent desire that we long for. But we can sometimes feel helpless to a decision that, unfortunately, isn’t our own. That’s when we are called to take it to the Lord in prayer.

Prayers and Petitions

We’ve all heard the stories and personal testimonies of those who have wandered from faith in Christ; or, perhaps, never came to faith at all——-except for that praying mother. Of course, there are plenty of praying fathers also. The point is that persistent prayer is the greatest solution to our prodigal child issues—regardless of age. The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5: 17, that we should pray continually; while, in Luke 18, Jesus speaks of a widow who, because of her persistence, finally convinced an indifferent judge to grant her request. So be encouraged. Our God is not indifferent toward our kids’ eternal destinies. Salvation is His will! It’s not His WILL that ANY should perish.
