If an adult’s temper is learned as a child, how will your kids turn out?

What can we do now to help set our kids up for success?
Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
What kind of adult will your child grow up to be? One who is impulsive, impatient or entitled? Or one who is calm, cool, and collected? Proverbs 15:18 says, “a hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.
When our kids are young, the wise parent rarely gives in to Junior’s impulsive urges. And if we are quick to bring consequences to Junior’s whining or acting out when he’s told no, the entitlement we see in so many kids today will never take root. Junior will learn contentment and patience, especially if we offer creative incentives or rewards for waiting. The point is that we don’t want to feed into Junior’s impulsivity. It’s true. Good things do come to those who wait.
