Baiting Game [One Minute Feature]

In our culture today, it seems parents are bribing their kids just to do simple daily chores. Do you believe in bribing your kids with rewards for doing their chores? Are you doing them a disservice by giving them a reward?

Incentive or a Bribe

I can’t stress enough, the effect of baiting your kids with rewards in order to get them to do what you have told them to do, especially when, what you have told them to do is a responsibility, common to any healthy family, like cleaning their room or taking out the trash. Not only do we retard their character, but we retard ours too.

Don’t misunderstand me, there are things for which I may offer my child as an incentive or a bribe if you will, like reading any number of quality of books, especially scriptures because beyond fulfilling domestic obligations, this is a means of jump-starting their own free will towards loftier appetites without them resenting you for it.
